The vision and mandate of the W̱SÁNEĆ School Board is to support W̱SÁNEĆ adult learners who are ready to pursue post-secondary education and work toward their academic and career goals. Through this support, learners are better prepared for meaningful employment and are empowered to contribute their skills and knowledge back to their families, communities, and the W̱SÁNEĆ Nations as a whole.
The W̱SÁNEĆ School Board Post-Secondary Department is here to support students from Tsawout, Tsartlip, and Tseycum who are applying to post-secondary institutions. Our role includes providing guidance through the application process and, where eligible, offering funding or sponsorship to support students in their educational journeys.
There are many post-secondary opportunities available through institutions such as Camosun College, the University of Victoria (UVic), Vancouver Island University (VIU), the University of British Columbia (UBC), and others. With hundreds of programs to choose from, we encourage learners to connect with us to explore specific programs or to learn more about the options available.
To be eligible for post-secondary funding, programs must generally require completion of English 12 and be a minimum of eight months in length.
